IX XI
I spent time today not thinking about 9/11. It was an element of the day, yet it was more like a pervasive heat that just makes me sweat uncomfortably and avoid contact with others. One of the other teachers was a mess, and her raw emotional state drove me from the room. I just can’t handle thinking about it. Last night Roommate Michael was watching a show on Channel 13 about the towers, and the old feelings surged back as if they were yesterday. Grief is a weird thing.
