Swamptuary Part 2
The loft is back to a state of semi-disrepair. After months of hounding, the landlord finally sent some unskilled labor to repair the floor. We have dirt underneath our floor, with a mix of rotted 2x6 supports. They replaced them with crate pallets for a new subfloor directly onto the dirt/mud, then put a mix of old and new plywood as our floor. It’s great! It will rot out within a few months, but for the moment, we have a semi-level floor. It took roommate Michael and I about 9 hours to clean up the mess they left behind, they stole my level, and the plumbing problems weren’t fixed, but I’m feeling slightly better not having to walk across mud to go to the bathroom.
Oops, just got home. There’s another leak in the ceiling.
