Back in Black

Ahhhhh, what a great feeling to finally NOT have a sensitive head. Ummm, my scalp, that is. For the last ten days, I have been the most miserable bastard. I missed two days of teaching, had the nice alternating clammy nasties/super fever, and basically would get home and sleep.

Saturday I burst from my flu chrysalis, shaky and trembling. My wings unfurled, I stretched, and sailed back into being a social butterfly. Nothing feels better than this post-illness euphoria, especially when paired with drinks at the Slide and the Eagle. Debauchery was NOT had, although I was sorely tempted at one point.

This whole week we've had Scalloblog Dave staying with us, and he really has been a great guest. He has annoyingly good flight karma, as he was upgraded to first class (closs in the Queen's English). Apparently they had in-flight massages, chairs that turned into beds, and free jammies. I am pretty certain my flight to London for New Years will be wildly cramped with some kind of large person next to me massaging my horrified shoulders with their fat.

So I'm back, I'm relatively happy, and I'll be running about for the next few weeks.
