It's just a boob, for the sake of pete

I didn't see it, but the image is indelibly seared into the retinas of my students. They keep talking about Janet Jackson's Superbowl incident, and I'm sure the bathroom door is closed for most of their ruminations.

Why is it that boobies, hooters, tatas, mammoramas, and jugglies can be a source of consternation for our country, but the funerals of the hundreds of dead American soldiers don't EVER make it to the news?

All I keep thinking to myself is "Isn't there a war on?"

In total agreement with you. It's a nipple, we all have them. And know what? They're not disgusting.

So please call off the FCC.

Cause dead americans aren't as sexy as seeing the naughty bits of the sister of that guy who molests kids?
Cause people die every day, but how often do you get to see "celebrity" nipple?
Cause no one thought Justin Timberlake liked the ladies?

If it wasn't kinda sad that'd be a great run on joke.

Hundreds of dead American soldiers? How about 8100 dead Iraqi civilians (the conservative estimate)? That'll really never make the news. They matter even less than American soldiers, and WAY less than Janet's tit.

Glennorama = Mammorama. Separated at birth?

New emoticon for lovers of janet's boob:

Oh Lordy, I've been hearing much of the same myself (and not only from the kids, but also in the department office!). I try to think, it's, er, good that they are paying attention to, um, current events, right?
