Gayvernor McGravy

Ron said it quite strongly.

Nothing like setting back gays ten years, and your own life 47.

Hi, G. I would like to read that post but his site doesn't seem to be responding. Also, it looks like you linked to the trackback link rather than the post link.

Wow! That's pretty much what I thought when I read the CNN article about him "coming out" and quitting office. For those of the community that are coming out for the first time this is a severe blow. For those of us that are continuing to come out, we see his crap for what it is. It's shameful. It's sad that he felt that he had to lie and marry a woman as he "struggled with his sexuality." But please, come on, I've struggled, I got through it and without getting hitched or having kids and I'll be damned if I'm going to quit my job because I'm gay. I work in an a VERY conservative field with a pretty conversative firm, but I'm not going to tuck tail and run as I come out to more people.

Well, it may be a set back, since the republicans and other uber-consertatives will use this against us, but maybe, just maybe we can use this to show that because of the social stigma associated with being gay, he started this life of lies that ultimately led to his troubles. Being gay had nothing to do with his troubles. Lieing about it was nothing but trouble.
