Lust
Lust strikes at the weirdest of moments. I'll be in the coffee shop, in the park, or just wandering the city. I shouldn't let my eyes wander, I'm in a relationship, but I just can't control the desire. My relationship is intimate and comfortable, but boring. When you know every inch, you just want something new.
Not dealing with the lust just makes it worse. Avoiding it makes me weaken, stripping me of the meager defenses I can use.
On Sunday, I couldn't control myself any longer. In a climactic moment, I betrayed my venerable iBook. Between the education discount and the rebates, I saved about $500. I'm not going to disclose the cost, but a 15" Powerbook 1.5 ghz 80gig laptop with all the whistles and video ram, a 40 gig new iPod, and a new printer are currently enroute from oriental points.
I'm just giddy.

Since the confessional booth is open, I too succombed to lust last November and replaced my 3-year-old iMac G3 with a brand new iMac G4 20" flat screen. But I did manage to fetch $500 for the old one thanks to Ebay.

I'm a recent purchaser of an iBook G4 w/ a 14" screen. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Was able to hook up several peripherals I already had (speakers, printer, dvd/cdrw external) so the only thing I added to it was a Superdisk drive for those times I still need to use a floppy which came from eBay.
Now why don't I have an iPod??? Hmmm ...

Just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu. That's my set answer for the topic of lust. Unfortunately, I have to stay on the diet and just keep looking at the menu because there just ain't nuttin' to pay the bill when it comes. BUT I do envy all you iPod people and that funny language you all speak ("1.5ghz 80gig, 40gig, ram) :::shiver::: gives me goosebumps! Uh oh, I've moved from lust to envy and back to lust again! I'm on overload!

The Boyfriend told me that I have to upgrade my Mac now that I'm moving in, so he can switch to a faster 802.11g wireless network. "Oh darn, please don't make me buy a faster computer." I mean, what's next, is he going to hold me down and feed me chocolate too?

I am still trying to ask/fuck a cute gay guy at apple soho to help with some discount for a Powerbook.
I need to just pull out my 12 year old college ID and just use that education discount...I think I can pass for a college student :)
