Third year

I'm definitely developing my own style during teaching this year. It's not perfect, but it works for me.

The kids have been particularly restless this week. This morning half the class was bitching about it being too cold in the room, the other half was saying it was too warm.

I told the class-
If you're too cold, grow hair on your arms like me.
If you're too warm, shave your head. Either way, this is not a democracy, i feel fine, and you will all focus on math. RESPECT THE MATH!

They all laughed, and we went to work.

It's weirdness like that that will make them remember you. And remember what the hell you're trying to teach them. Rock on brave one.

I used to keep my room intentionally a little chilly to keep the little buggers awake. And if someone started nodding off, I'd nonchalantly walk over and open a window...even in midwinter. Eccentricity keeps 'em on their toes.
