Roadtrip!

I'm leaving on my roadtrip to Texas on Friday. My tentative route includes Pennsylvania, Ohio, Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, New Orleans, and then it gets vague. If it works out, I might go to Tallahassee and pick up a friend to take back to NYC, or I might go through Alabama and Atlanta. If I do that route, I would see my aunt who I haven't seen in 23 years, which would be good.

Anyone have recommendations of places to visit? My route simply must get to Houston and then back to NYC. Anyone want to do lunch?

Been to Galveston lately? There's also the Louisiana delta and all the Cajuns, or the River Road.

Ala... Alab... Alabama?!

Do they still allow homosexuals to travel through Alabama?

I hear they check cars for showtune CDs, cockrings, and/or books with words that contain more than three syllables in them at the state line.

What dates are you planning on being in Houston? I no longer live there, I'm down here in scenic, historic Brownsville *scoffs toward window* but I plan on being in Houston on vacation the week of the 18th. Will I have missed you?

I think that while you are in Houston, you should see your old roomate. I think that he lives on the north east side (in Kingwood) and he has some intresting things to share with you. When you get a chance, there is an intresting artical from your home town on how to threaten your kids (it sounds so tasty). It is the last story on the site. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,161849,00.html

If you go to Atlanta, a trip to the MLK Center is an inspiring must! The Carter Center is also worthwhile, and they are 1 1/12 mile apart.
