Beach Culture
I don't have much experience with good NJ. Until a few weekends ago, I didn't know there was a good NJ. When I think of the Garden State, I don't think of gardens. I think of the Turnpike, the parking lot of IKEA, Superfund toxic sites, and big-haired girls being disgorged from the ground onto Christopher Street.
Derrick and I went to the southernmost point with some of his/our friends. I have to say that their lighthouse was very happy to see us.
It was just a great weekend of reading, hanging out on the beach,

fascinating sources of new blood-clotting technology as tabletop pieces.
Here are the other memento photos of our foray onto the boardwalk. I think some of the big-haired girls summer there.

Message from God?

I like the way it looks like scavengers already partially eviscerated the body.

Hmmm....i think of that too when I think of NJ (turnpike, jersey girls, microscopic road signs), but maybe i'll reconsider my "NJ Sucks" mantra.

Cape May! Heard so much about it. The only nice places in Jersey I've been to were people's private homes, or private "community resident only" beaches. Cape May is supposedly the only *public* nice place.
*sigh*
