Things I learned in school

My fast walk on school mornings is as fast as the very slow buses, plus I'm not loaded with yammering children.

Make sure that the only keys to your office are in your pockets, because Ms. M has VERY sticky fingers. I caught her in my room trying to steal my entire bag of 120 markers. She said she thought they were hers. Somehow they mysteriously transported themselves across the ether into my room. I now have that key back, but I just hope she doesn't have another copy.

Make sure and know the janitors' phone number, as the child in room 313 can really make vomit into a solid/liquid projectile.

When you promise all the math teachers that you will make copies of the diagnostic test for Monday, make sure that the only person with keys to the copy room doesn't skip out for the two days available to make copies.

When working until six every night, remember to drink water, because you are one sweaty bastard.

Enjoy yourself, as you can already tell yourself how much fun this could be.

I wish I had had a nice math teacher like you instead of that bitch Mrs. Munsell!

mrs. newman was the top o' the heap.
with her ever vigilant cries of, "Wheer you going fella?!?!?" to every student in the hall after the bell, regardless of gender (ahead of her time perhaps?)
she HATED me because when i didnt do my homework and she asked where it was I never made an excuse. I simply said "i didn't do it"
ooooh i drove her CRAZY.

"When working until six every night..."

*snicker*
*guffaw*
*giggle*

Yeah. Six. Every night. Must be awful. Poor baby. :-)

It's almost 9pm, and I'm still at the office. Yeah, shoot me. Please.

Are you going to give Mr. Pal O'Chi more trig assignments now for that attitude? ;-)

I guess I am a bit spoiled, as teachers typically do leave the school around 3. We're special that way.

The TV monitors are from a failed technology program from the late 90's, by the way.

I used to work for one of the companies who sold that "failed technology program from the late 90s". They're pretty much out of business and failed now, too.

Sister Theresa Kelly used to rap my knuckles with a ruler in math class. It's weird, my repulsion to measuring tapes and my attraction to being rapped on the knuckles.

I wish I could make a list like that... Only the things would be so outrageous that no one would/could believe it...

But, I'm with you on the last sentence...

Cheers,
