Brokeback, New Mexico

“It’s a slap in the face to our way of life and the Western industry,” she said. “(The film) promotes homosexuality. They are trying to convince us that it’s natural and it’s OK and it’s just a matter of choice. But it’s not.”

Welcome to my hometown.

It's just the place where you were born. Don't tell me where you're FROM, tell me where you've BEEN - it's ALWAYS much more interesting.

But, if you prefer, I'll say it ... I SWEAR to GOD, a gene-pool the size of a pudding bowl.

You know they'll be renting it as soon as it comes out on DVD. :)

Also gotta love how the shopkeeper quoted above doesn't even know what she's saying. "They are trying to convince us...that it's just a matter of choice." Uh--no, you stupid bitch, that's YOUR side.

Now let's go burn down Universal Studios!

I love the mention of "promotes homosexuality."

Like it is somehow possible to put together a massive and well executed marketing plan that will actually cause men to want to have sex with one another!

What a crock!

The very idea simply shows the lack of intelligence of the speaker. Surely, if what she says is possible, then just watching BrokeBack should make her want to go muff-dive!

American insanity at its best!

Good. Mother. Fucking. God.

Let's quote my mother, shall we?: "Stupid people? Shouldn't breed."

Just another reason I hate the place.
