This, of course, means I'll live FOREVER.

I only drank coffee when I went back to college in 96. That is where my friend Allen and I became friends, studying at a grungy coffee shop. This is also where I became addicted to coffee, as they had $2.00 bottomless cups of coffee. He and I would study our Russian texts and just hang out.
He just emailed me this article on benefits of coffee. If I can up my drinking of coffee to FIVE cups of coffee a day, I'll be an immortal!
I'll just be a really jumpy immortal who has to pee all the time.

Russian literature? Ты не действительно читаеш русскую литературу?

Interesting. However, I'm not sure how much weight I would put on a study where the main variable being tested (caffeine intake) was only tested at the beginning of the study (average 14 years!)
That being said, I am currently enjoying a soy latte.

God of Cafes and Catheters
I like the sound of that.

I am not interested in longevity. The world is falling apart. I work non-profit, I have no retirement funds, I'm not partnered, and barring some major miracle, won't have children (adopted or otherwise). I will be all alone. I would prefer to have a brief, blissfully drunken life rather than being a lonely, impoverished 96 year old crediting his perfect health to a daily venti drip.

Coffee, not beer, is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Coffee is the elixir of the gods. I'm surprised you don't drink five cups a day already. Admittedly I don't drink that many cups, but then I drink extra-larges and ventis and but grad-school cups so it all evens out.

"I just fell in love with that Andy guy a little", said Foxy, lighting up a cigarette with almost the exact same justification.

I love Starbucks!
I love it.

I saw that same article in the Times. Didn't mention that the study was funded by Starbucks.
No matter!
Milk, no sugar, please!
