Dreaming of my future car
Letters for Zac bought himself one of my favorite practical cars.
I've been thinking about cars a lot lately. Where some friends walk into signs because of hot men, I walk into signs because my attention is drawn to cars. I know cars, I love working on cars. I miss changing oil. I miss hopping up motors, throwing them on the dyno. When I saw Little Miss Sunshine the other night, the major flaw of the movie for me was the mechanic's statement. EVERYONE knows that 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears in a VW are synchronized. Fools. I was also dying to fix the horn, which is an extremely easy repair.
If Derrick dragged me away from NYC, one of the only consolations for me would be ownership of a car. In my price range: Mini Cooper Convertible, Mazda 3/6 series, the upcoming VW Eos, Saturn Sky. Nothing else really interests me.
Oh wait. Two other, terribly sexy cars fascinate me and occupy my dreams. First, the Tesla Roadster.
This sexy beast is 100% electric, 0-60 in about 4 seconds, 250 mile range, and super smart. Unfortunately, I would have to sell the house I own in Texas to buy it. However, this car shows what liars the big carmakers are. The car's cost is due to limited production. It is also super sexy.
The other car is something I would build myself.
My dad and I built something similar when I was around 15. This version can be hopped up with a Subaru horizontally opposed WTI engine.
When I dream, I'm in a car shop. It's a good dream.

Or you and Derrick could stay right here in New York City and focus on, I dunno... subway cars?

That Tesla is pretty awesome... it's been in the news a lot - and yeah I definitely want one... too bad it is like 100k too much!

A dream.
Kinda like buying a tank of gas for either those cars at less than $50 a fill-up.
