Packing

8pm: I'm going to bed, as I have to be up at 3am to get to my flight. Yuck.

I'm okay with the new rules on flights, as it really allows me to be the frantic clothes queen I am deep inside. Derrick is really good at packing a lot of stuff into tight spaces, and that extends to his suitcases. Since we've been together, he always packs my stuff into one carry-on suitcase, which can be nice for speed and lack of disappearances. Now that I have to check baggage, I can pretend to be Ginger from Gilligan's Island and go hog wild with the clothes.

Derrick is at Mother Courage tonight. If he saw my suitcase, he'd have a fit.

I don't know why, but I always pack for every occasion. Perhaps it's because I'm not accustomed to the idea that I can just go buy whatever it is I want, and have to prepare. The one thing I never seem to pack for though, is a funeral.
