My last prime product

No really. Today is the one and only time I'll be the product of 2 different primes squared. The next time, I will be 225 years old. There will be other combinations of primes, but this is the only one of its type. How old am I?

I cheated by looking up the mathematical definition of product (it's been a long time since I had to think in such terms) and then by checking my answer against your profile, but I'm pleased with myself just the same.

But how can this be the one and only time this happens, if there will be a next time? And won't you be 100 next time?

But anyway, happy birthday!

Is that x^2+y^2? Or is that (x+y)^2? or is it (x * y)^2? or is it x^2 * y^2?

Oww. Oww. Oww. Owwww.

36 (2^2 * 3^2). Not a huge challenge of calculation given that products of square numbers grow, er, exponentially.

Old enough to know better but young enough to still do it?

Posted by: palochi at October 16, 2006 12:42 PM

Oh, and... HAPPY B-DAY!

Gosh, yer so in your "prime" now.

Posted by: palochi at October 16, 2006 12:43 PM

By my calculations, you are 3^2 + 5^2 = nerd-thousand years old. Or 34. Happy Birthday!

Next time this happens you'll be 225?

Damn, you look good for 100.

Happy, happy, sweetie.

xo.

36?
Happy Birthday!

Posted by: Jeff at October 16, 2006 02:35 PM

You must be 36, although I guess I'm misunderstanding the hint, because 4 is the product of 2 squared and 1 squared.. Okay, maybe we're not including 1, so 2 squared and 3 squared gives us 36, but... Then the next one would be at 64 (the product of 2 and 4 squared)... help me, my head hurts,,,, I... need... clarification....

Posted by: Tay Hota at October 16, 2006 05:04 PM

oh yeah, and happy birthday!!!!!!!!

Posted by: tay hota at October 16, 2006 05:05 PM

dang, why do i never realize how retarded i am until RIGHT AFTER I hit send.. four is not prime, and neither is one, we all know this... ugh.. so you're 36... happy birthday, where's my aleve... (but this will happen again at 100, right? 2 and 5) oh, stop me before I make it worse...

Posted by: tay hota at October 16, 2006 05:10 PM

2*2*3*3, or 36, ya big math geek.

Posted by: Jeff at October 16, 2006 05:36 PM

36?

I have a different kind of math for you: How many seconds will it take before I decide not to do YOUR math question? :)

Happy birthday.

I hate math. (5x5)x(2x2)=100. You're 100 years old, congratulations.

Numbers?
Math?
Whatever the age, you look fantastic!
