What does a man do in Kalamazoo?
Well, if you're my partner, you'll talk about gender and violence in medieval English literature in front of other literary mucketymucks. Saturday in Michigan. Yep.
Last year he got me a shirt that says "All I got was this lousy tshirt" in Latin.
Nerds are HOT.

Yay for Michigan! Too bad it isn't some place cool though, like Ann Arbor. :) Fortunately for him the weather is supposed to be lovely this weekend. The snow has all melted and he won't even need a parka! :)

I spent a weekend with my college roommate in Kalamazoo. What I remember most was that his mother ironed his underpants.

I have only heard of the Kalamazoo conference via people who research medieval thingys. To be honest, I am not sure that I totally get the appeal. Probably you have to be predisposed to medieval thingys.
